Four years already? We did it Joe!! It has been a rollercoaster of growth, learning and unlearning each day. Allow me to blow my trumpet a bit, but I am proud of how far I have come. Of course, it won’t have been possible without you YTPfam in my corner. You are the real MVP’s.

Here are some milestones over the past 4 years
In 2017, I found the first YTPshop artisan in Nigeria and sold out our very first product. It truly was a memorable year. This was not all, during this period, I had my very first Pop Up in New York.
By 2018, YTPshop had multiple female artisans and staff in Nigeria, where we still produce today. We also got featured on Essence and I started my MBA at The Wharton School in Philly.
By 2019, YTPshop pivoted to a wholesale model, as I tried to scale through boutique customers. Nonetheless, we continued to do fashion shows
In 2020, COVID hit, no one was prepared for this and wholesale demand dropped. We pivoted back to retail and relaunched in October 2020.
Now, in 2021, the brand is bigger and better. We have rehired a small team in Nigeria to support various functions. Let’s not forget the launch of the Zamunda dress and now the 4th birthday.
By the way, have you checked out the Zamunda Dress with a complementary headwrap lately? It is my way of celebrating Black Excellence.
